What does an accountant do?

It is important to be aware that the Financial Statements Act regulates the auditing of financial statements. However, for consultancy services, the contractual agreement between the company and the auditor will govern the parameters of the services rendered.

If the company’s annual report is not already audited by an auditor and you want to do so going forward, it must be decided by the company’s owners at a general meeting. In addition to deciding that the company’s annual report should be audited, the company’s owners must also select an auditor to audit the annual report.

When you use the DKkonsult to opt for audit in your company, we arrange both the preparation of the decision report and the subsequent registration with the Danish Business Authority. At the same time, the owners can easily sign the decision report with NemID or MitID.

 

Opt-out of audit

If the company’s annual report is audited by an auditor and you do not want to do so going forward, the company’s owners must decide on this at a general meeting. Once the decision is adopted, the company’s existing auditor will resign. However, it is important that you first ensure that your company is not subject to audit obligations.
